Generating ideas with collage cropping

I love looking for crops of compositions that I enjoy. It’s a great way to discover new ideas and figure out what you love and don’t love. I really quite like these crops from my recent collaged artworks.

One of the things I’m realising when I play with crops is that I really love big, bold shapes with simple compositions and subtle textures. Somehow it feels like it takes boldness to create such simplicity.
